Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the My AI Food Buddy website and mobile application (the "Service") operated by us.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.

Disclaimer of Warranties and AI Risks

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

Our Service utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to generate content, including but not limited to recipes, nutritional information, and expiration date estimations. You acknowledge that AI models may "hallucinate"—that is, produce information that is incorrect, nonsensical, or not based in fact. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided by the AI.

You, the user, accept all responsibilities and risks associated with the use of any AI-generated content from the Service. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before relying on it, especially in matters concerning health, diet, allergies, and food safety. My AI Food Buddy shall have no liability for any consequences arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content.

User-Submitted Content and AI Analysis

When you use features such as receipt or product scanning, you grant us the right to analyze and store all information contained within the uploaded images. This may include, but is not limited to, store names, addresses, itemized lists, prices, and any other data present on the receipt or packaging. This information is used to provide and improve our services and AI models. By using these features, you consent to this data processing.

Data Collection and Storage

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect data such as your pantry items, recipes, and preferences to provide and improve the Service.

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States. While we implement robust security measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Account and Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your data. You may delete your account at any time through the "Settings" section of the application.

Upon account deletion, all of your personal data, including your profile, pantry items, and any other associated information, will be permanently removed from our systems. This action is irreversible.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of My AI Food Buddy and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so from the settings page.

Limitation Of Liability

In no event shall My AI Food Buddy, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
